Overcomer Scholarship
Our Overcomer:
Triumphant Soror LaTonya Frazier
Soror LaTonya Frazier was a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and received a B.A. in Specialized Studies in Fall of 1992. In 1986, LaTonya received the Most Outstanding Performer at Beaver Falls High School as a member of the WPIAL 4x100 Womens Relay Team. She also participated in the 100, 200, 400, and 1600 relay, which earned her a scholarship to Tarkio College before transferring to Edinboro.
Soror Frazier was initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in Spring 1993. She helped charter the Gamma Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania in October 2020. Throughout her life, Soror LaTonya was a fierce advocate for breast cancer awareness. She worked with the sorors of Gamma Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter to increase education and community outreach; partnering with Hillman Centers, UPMC Magee Women's Hospital, and Allegheny Health Network to promote annual mammograms, monthly self-breast exams, screenings, and many other services.

LaTonya Frazier Overcomer Scholarship
The women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter are pleased to announce the LaTonya Frazier Overcomer Scholarship.
The scholarship is open to Western Pennsylvanian students of any age enrolled in school who demonstrate a financial need and can share how they have overcome adversity.
The 2024 application period has expired and will re-open early 2025.
